Life-Cycle Projects

Foundation have been enthused by the awe and wonder of nature following our chicken and butterfly life-cycle projects. Both classes have observed, first-hand, the transformation of caterpillars to butterflies and the development of embryos to chicks. The children have have been creating their own information books to share their learning and the level of excitement has been wonderful to see. The butterflies will all eventually be released into our wild area and the chicks will be re-homed with Mr Van Der Leeuw’s other chickens on site so the children will be able to continue seeing them as they grow.
