Long Crendon School: The place to grow

Our vision is "The Place to Grow"

This is our entire reason for being: what we do and how we do it is driven by our commitment to the view that our school is the place to grow. Long Crendon School is a place where children can grow personally, academically, emotionally and in so many other ways. Our curriculum enables children to develop skills and nurture a real love of learning.

Long Crendon School is a calm, purposeful school. Our children enjoy a wide range of opportunities and a broad education. We provide quality first teaching in all subjects focussing on both knowledge and skills.

Our 9 core Values are at the centre of all we do in our school. The children learn how to work with these to be successful and rounded individuals. These are: Unity, Courage, Resilience, Kindness , Enthusiasm, Honesty, Respect, Friendship and Equality. We refer to these on a daily basis in all we do.

Pupils feel that they are part of a wider school family but are treated as individuals with their talents being understood and encouraged. There are high expectations for them to try their best and discover what they can achieve.

The children build a sense of responsibility for their behaviour and actions. We use restorative practice to find solutions to conflict and educate about expected, and acceptable, behaviour and language.

We have a strong emphasis on outdoor learning including Forest School on our extensive site. Our facilities are amazing for a primary setting, and we make the most of this for the benefit of the pupils at the school.

We would always wish pupils to leave the school with happy memories and to be ready for their future experiences.
