Homework is set on Wednesday and is expected back latest, the following Tuesday. Children will have a grid of activities related to our topic, which they can choose from.
We will visit the Library once a week and all children will be expected to choose a book. Please make sure the book is brought into school everyday as there will be opportunities to read throughout the day. It is beneficial for children to read every evening whether this is independently or with an adult.
A new spelling rule is taught each week and then example words and the rule will be sent home in spelling books to reinforce at home. Spellings are taught for writing, so we do not expect the children just to learn a list of words. We would like them to understand the rule and be able to apply that to words they come across when they are writing. Spelling rules will be sent out on Wednesday. We will have a quick spelling recap every Monday on the spellings from the week before.
As forest school is on Monday afternoon. Please ensure appropriate kit is in school – including wellies.
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursdays – please ensure full kits are in school.
